WISDOM TRUMPS DESIRE

How do we choose what is right for life,

to remain in peace without any strife,

how do we know what is safe to choose,

what we will keep and what we will lose.

There's a simple rule to follow each day,

don't hurt or take unless you can pay,

do unto others as you will for your life,

keeping your back away from the knife.

You wouldn't like to be treated with deceit,

continually pushed into traps of defeat,

so don't hand it out for others to accept,

it normally causes enormous regret.

Don't gather up debts that you need to repay,

live every day with only fair play,

never cross any line that will bring later shame,

it always comes back as part of the game.
