TROUBLES AND OVERCOMING
Some little children are born into strife,
in homes where the atmosphere can be cut by a knife,
deeply damaged from their days of youth,
they always land up in things uncouth.
How do we conquer unfairness and injustice,
how do we overcome atrocities that entice,
how do we overlook when trampled by others,
trying to survive when darkness smothers.
We manage by looking very much deeper,
we manage by studying the things like a reaper,
we uncover to find what is hidden behind,
throwing it around to bring it inside.
We find understanding of where it all leads,
learn the wisdom of uncovering deeds,
we find the knowledge that shows new ways,
becoming the healers that brighten the days.
