COMFORT OF EXISTENCE
Every living being has material needs,
necessities of life and food that feeds,
our physical body needs shelter from the cold,
but not to the extent that our life is sold.
There are things we need and wants we desire,
the needs are a must the rest burns like fire,
when with humble comforts we can be content,
our lives remain intact and cannot be rent.
When spiritually empty we don't value our worth,
sell our virtues for a crumb of the earth,
we will do what is wrong for material gain,
not knowing it will cause captivity and pain.
Best to be content with what we can afford,
not be lured into luxury by a dame or a lord,
man's greatest value is to stand in truth,
hold on to his honour from his days of youth.
