STANDING ALONE

In a world of turmoil and unrest,

we try to fit in and do our best,

our morals are tested on a daily basis,

challenging the honesty that saves our faces.

Life is a game of a completion of tasks,

that allow us to live in the open without masks,

lures and tests are laid upon our way,

with virtues and values these paths to relay.

With or without possessions we should always stand tall,

we will find the truth when we heed Gods call,

we resist the temptation to cheat for profit,

with honest labour we fill our coffer.

Traditions and cultures must step in line,

with righteous deeds that stand the test of time,

when we know where we're at we know what to do,

find all the right paths on which to pursue.

MATERIAL ASSETS

MORAL COSTS

When do we strive for material assets and when do we decline? WE CHECK THE COST.....NOT THE FINANCIAL COST....BUT THE MORAL COST. NO MATERIAL POSSESSION IS WORTH THE CAPTIVITY OF OUR SOUL - RELINQUISHING OUR MORAL VALUES - THIS COST IS TOO HIGH simply because of all the sorrow, regrets and remorse which comes with it. When we throw away our ethics and values, we lose part of who we are and not only lose our own self respect, but the respect of our family and others. We take a few steps down the ladder in our human standards and things start becoming very slippery. We start losing contact with ourselves and life becomes messy. Normally we simply write it off and try to pretend it is not there, BUT IT IS THERE and darkens our outlook on life as we start accepting cheating and dishonestly and conform to lower standards. We hide behind the "means justify the end story," BUT IT DOESN'T, when we take all things into consideration. Our entire attitude changes, toward our family, friends, colleagues and the world. We be come sneaky as we try to hide our dishonest gain placing immense strain in everyone around us. Many possessions are nice to have, but very few are really necessary for a comfortable life, so always MEASURE THE MORAL COST BECAUSE A FREE SOUL AND CLEAR CONSCIENCE IS FAR MORE VALUABLE...

A COST TOO HIGH

CAUGHT IN WEBS

The impulse to surround us with beauty is strong,

just take care not to fall into snares that are wrong,

we love big houses and cars that shine,

just remember the cost further down the line.

When running after material possessions,

filling the lusts of our physical obsessions,

the cost of our soul is really not worth it,

always make sure that it stays legit.

When we climb down the ladder with cheating and fraud,

it brings us in bondage to an earthly lord,

horror, regrets and remorse will follow,

as we fall by the wayside in dread and sorrow.

Sometimes the cost is just too high,

our pillows are soaked with the tear we cry

too late we see we are caught in a web,

as truth reveals the way we're misled.

SOUL WEALTH

OUR LIFE FORCE

What good is it to obtain the whole world and lose our greatest asset - OUR SOUL - BECOMING NOTHING MORE THAN AN EMPTY VESSEL WITH NO VALUE AT ALL.......

A soul cannot be bought or sold as it is Gods property, but it can become imprisoned by our own stupidity. We then become tortured and tormented within the inner man eventually leading to total captivity as we harden ourselves to cope with all the pain, disgust and destruction. A healthy soul is the portal to divine wisdom, beautiful freedom, our connection and link to God, which is vital to remain free from all the traps and snares to cleverly disguised as acceptable. There is a very thin line between truth and almost truth and from a human perspective it is very difficult to discern, until it is too late. We don't only read words across the page, but we read into the words to discern the true meaning hidden within and for that we need spiritual guidance, which comes from the Spirit of God, which works through the soul. It is through the soul that our conscience remains alive and that is what brings us peace of mind and a healthy outlook on life. We know which moves to make and manage to cope in life without too many regrets and remorse's of bad decisions. The soul connection works through our conscience to guide us onto the right paths warning us when we enter dark territory. It niggles at us and we feel uncomfortable with certain decisions, which normally prevents us from entering those areas.

MY DEAR SOUL

PORTALS OF FREEDOM

Oh soul, dear soul, my portal to freedom,

keeping me firmly attached to Gods kingdom,

with portals wide open to discern the truth,

bringing me gifts of enormous worth.

My paths lay open wide and clear,

I travel through life without any fear,

a very fine line separates truth from a lie,

spiritual guidance gives us wings to fly.

Traps and snares are disguised with care,

spread across paths they are everywhere,

we need to discern as we read between the lines,

find the true meaning it secretly hides.

A spiritual connection runs through our souls,

using our conscience to guide all our goals,

when our souls are captured we fall to decay,

bringing sorrows and torments upon our way.

WEALTH OF SPIRITUAL HEALTH

WALKING ON NOBLE PATHS

Our spiritual assets aid us with knowing what is right and wrong. For those who still have a conscience, that have not been completely hardened by all the injustices and hardships of life, this is a vital ingredient in life. To practise justice and fairness in all our dealings, not only with other people , but in our care for the earth. We may be able to cheat and hide it in the world, but each of us will one day face our own lives as we must give account for our behaviour. Each of us will acknowledge and be held responsible for our lives and how it affected others. This is why it is so important to learn good virtues and values, so whatever we do in life, will not come back to haunt and destroy us. A clear conscience is a very valuable asset to hold on to, not harbouring anger and revenge, but clearing away our problems as and when they arise. We show consideration to others above our greed for financial gain, assuring that our actions are always just and fair. This way we always keep the paths open to move forward and don't fall into a rut...

SPIRITUAL WEALTH

ASSETS OF WORTH

A conscience that's clear is very dear,

keeps us safe from dread and fear,

with confidence we can walk very tall,

have all the right answers when trouble calls.

We don't need to bow to threats of exposure,

there's nothing to hide that hasn't found favour,

we carry no guilt of deeds gone wrong,

facing the world with courage that's strong.

We stick to our virtues and values through life,

peacefully go about ending all strife,

our past holds nothing that brings us shame,

with fairness we deal the hands of the game.

Justice and truth is the light on our ways,

with honesty we go about our days,

our wealth is counted with deeds of truth,

filling our lives with assets of worth.

WEALTH OF MENTAL COMPREHENSION

PERCEPTION AND UNDERSTANDING

Our brain has nothing to do with our perceptions of matters. Like a computer it records all we see and hear and files it in various compartments. Our mental health, perception and understanding of these recordings is a spiritual and emotional issue. That is what influences our thoughts on what we see and hear, it brings the comprehension. Someone says "the stove is hot, be careful," the brain records the information but has no comprehension of what it means. So, we touch the hot stove because the words mean nothing on their own, we burn - WE FEEL - OUCH - THAT BURNT, so the comprehension of the words come through experiencing THE FEELING OF WHAT A HOT STOVE IS...... So our mental heath not only relies on what we allow the brain to record...which, in the case of movies, etc, some might copy and reenact, BUT OUR OUTLOOK AND UNDERSTANDING OF IT, THE EMOTIONAL IMPACT, AS THAT IS WHAT WILL INFLUENCE OUR ACTIONS - THE WAY WE FEEL ABOUT IT - negative or positive, angy or happy, rebellious or peaceful. Our mental health stems from our emotional condition at any stage....

MENTAL ASSETS

MENTAL BALANCE

Our mind is quite apart from our brain,

comprehension is not the knowledge we gain,

words have no meaning until we live them,

we find the essence that becomes our gem.

How will we know what something means,

unless we experience how it feels,

our outlook comes from our emotional condition,

whether negative or positive will gauge our position.

Our thoughts derive from our spiritual side,

our ability to reason and find what words hide,

the perception and understanding of what we hear,

that is what brings all the wisdom near.

FULLY CHARGED EMOTIONALLY

FULL HOUSE

Our emotions are very much who we are. Emotional assets play an enormous role in life. When we have been so hardened by life's trials that we become indifferent, we're as good as dead inside our flesh. We've forgotten how to love, or feel happy or enjoy our journey, we can no longer feel joy or excitement, have lost the ability to show compassion and kindness to others, we become bitter and lose our humaneness. Then life's journey becomes very lonely and isolated. This is not life..... it is mere existence, day after day, we just exist. It is so important to nurture our emotional being with love and enjoyment. To ever be a complete, whole person that is well balanced and can cope with life, we need our emotions, that is what gives us a well  developed, wide angle view of situations, it's what gives us understanding of matters, it's what makes us reasonable and gives us the vital insight into situations, enabling us to amiably and peacefully come to conclusions. Emotional well being is an enormously precious asset because it enriches our lives with joy and deep contentment...
