CONTENTED HAPPINESS

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN....THE HAPPY BABY

Most babies are taken away by a nurse straight after birth. Once that little ordeal is over and the baby is held close for the first few months, they manifest totally different characteristics to those who are placed in cots and prams. When held in a pouch on the mother, everything is very similar....the warmth, the heartbeat, the closeness, except they are now in the outer womb. These babies aren't so prone to nappy rash or discomfort, as they are with the mother and she can regularly check the nappy and when they have a number two, she immediately smells it and change the nappy there and then. They don't go through any of the anxieties the cot babies do and sleep when they need to within the noises they are already accustomed to. Besides they feel the warm safety of the mother or father's body, so none of the negative fear symptoms take root in them.
The characteristics manifesting in them are contentment, security, belonging, comfort - all positive.

CONTENTMENT : branches into a state if well being bringing the fruits of happiness, love, gentleness, friendliness, openness and calmness. They are relaxed, very rarely, if ever, cry, simply because they don't need to call anyone and show through their actions what their needs are. As there grows such a strong bond the mother easily recognises the signals.

SECURITY : branches into a state of inquisitive interest in all things around them. They are confident and point at everything.....there way of asking what it is. When we take them closer, show them and explain what it is and what it does, they are very content and happy with our replies.

BELONGING : branches into a deep bond of understanding between the child and parents making it far easier to teach them, they are much more receptive because they are relaxed and at ease. There develops a language of instinct between them where words are not needed.

COMFORT : branches to positivity, the baby is happy, knows they are loved, are attentive, easy to handle, out going, not prone to infections and illnesses because they don't have to use their energy for fears and crying and loneliness, they have no fears or phobias

These babies rarely have problems with coughs, runny tummies, eating or drinking problems and overall are so much easier to deal with. They eat well, sleep well, grow and develop in a calm, easy manner, appear to be far more balanced and learn quickly, probably because they start life with a loving, caring, close bond. They don't throw tantrums or scream or holler, they seem to take things in their stride. Their physical health us good due to the xalm, relaxed closeness. When a mother or father learns to breathe deeply and slowly and stay calm under stress, it carries through to the child and they remain calm. This is not always easy, but we train ourselves and our bodies to remain calm and unchanged while our minds race in turmoil. Thus keeps our heartbeat even and the baby doesn't "FEEL"" our fear and tenseness. So young it is ALL ABOUT " FEELING AND VIBES". IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO KEEP CALM BECAUSE WHEN WE BECOME NERVOUS AND AGITATED THE BABY PICKS IT UP IMMEDIATELY AND SETS THEM OFF CRYING WHICH MAKES US MORE NERVOUS AND THEY CRY EVEN MORE. Most of everything at this stage is done through feeling and sensing. So learning to keep cool and self control and keeping our body at a steady pace is SO VERY VERY IMPORTANT. KEEP A COOL HEAD. ©
