IT'S A BIG, BIG WORLD

SEPARATION ANXIETY

EMOTIONAL IMPACT OF THE SEPARATION AND SUDDEN ISOLATION AFTER BIRTH

Here we look at the psychological impact of our very first experience of isolation and rejection. The first bond is broken when the child is removed from the warm womb into strangers hands. This all happens on a subconscious level, yet these emotions are awoken and this subtle gap remains. This is probably where the saying comes from :" it takes nine months fir a child to leave the womb and the rest if his life to try and get back inside....for the warmth and comfort. As soon as we can we should provide an outer womb for the baby to cuddle into, close to the body so they can still hear the heart beat like inside the womb. While being formed the baby is in an upright position until they turn head down for the birth, so to keep them upright in a pouch on your chest will do them no harm at all. We work around the pouch, our arms are long enough to reach for what we need to do.
Here we cand learn from the animal kingdom...like the kangaroo and many others that carry their young for quite some time. We slowly over the next year wean the child out of the outer pouch, by which time they should be ready to start crawling and with that comes their first individuality. There really is no rush, there is plenty time for the child to have to face the world, now is not the time....now is the time to build the child self assurance by not throwing them one side. They must withdraw when they are ready.   You will know when, they show us..... ©

Next the first months of the baby's life.......
