SPIRITUAL ASSURANCE
Our houses protect us from the cold and rain,
insurances protect us from losses of gain,
pensions provide for times of old age,
but how do emotions turn the page.
We have burglar bars and alarms against crime,
all of this costing more than a dollar or dime,
but what protection have our souls and hearts,
what insurance have minds from filth life implants.
We're ignorant to the needs of our spirits,
only providing for the physical limits,
we have no answers to emotional stress,
as hurt and pain dump us in a mess.
Our spirit is crying from deep inside,
for spiritual food with which to abide,
it seeks the virtues of Godly divinity,
nurtures the soul with values of eternity.
