SPIRIT OF LIGHT
Judges and lawyers must abide by the law,
where evidence grips us in its mighty jaw,
easily faked and planted in our way,
as innocently we are caught in its sway.
Charged and condemned as we sit in silence,
shocked and baffled with no safety reliance,
it's best we have a protector in life,
that can cut away tricks with a two edged knife.
The university of life is hard and tough,
taking us on paths that are very rough,
dark clouds loom as they threaten doom,
our ignorance will often land us in gloom.
A 24/7 guide is what we will need,
to give us advice in word and deed,
the spirit of light which is wise and true,
taking away all our sorrows so blue.
