JOURNEYS OF DISCOVERY
When we sit and wait,
we build monsters at the gate,
our thoughts are consumed,
our dreams are doomed.
We are chased by all kinds of fears,
feeding our insecurity with many tears,
trying and falling short is never a failure,
it's merely a detour with a different contour.
Every path we take is a journey of discovery,
whether we make it or not is another recovery,
a work in progress is what life is,
our journeys of discovery we find in the breeze.
Always try, always reach for the sky,
on any path we'll always get by,
acknowledge mistakes to expose what's inside,
that way we know we never need to hide.
