BROKEN EARTH
All we need can be done without abuse,
for the destruction of the earth there is no excuse,
maybe we lost sight of life's importance,
maybe we never knew the reason of existence.
Have we ever considered that life is life,
all things on earth can do without the strife,
the air, the water, the earth has rights,
so do the animals and plants in our sights.
The things with no voice are trampled by man,
but it surely does speak, just hear if you can,
the air and sun are telling their story,
of how man destroyed it and broke its glory.
The winds have changed as ice melts away,
the earth is moving as it has its say,
it's falling away and cracking open,
showing man how badly it's broken.
