HEALING
Those who are innocent, pure and undefiled go through life trusting each and all because they have harmed no one and don't expect it to come to them. They are gentle by nature due to the innocence and purity, seeing beauty in all things, so when life hits them there is firstly disbelief.....this must be a mistake, this can't be happening....then pain and disappointment, the shattering disillusionment of broken trust, then the shields come up for self protection, the withdrawal barriers and the fruit hereof often insecurity or loss of interest. The doubt and fear of interacting with people and being stabbed in the heart again, makes us wary and timid. We rather withdraw and not interact, than be bitten again....once bitten, twice shy.....sometimes withholding interaction is construed as insecurity when us fact it isn't at all....it's plain a lack of interest....or we swing the other way and harden ourselves eventually becoming just as bad....hurting each other. Best we can do is lay solid foundations for ourselves expecting nothing from others....learning the art and ability to seek, find and share without expecting returns...always being on the giving side....
