UNTAMED PAIN
Heartache and sorrow leads to dark isolation,
as we hang onto life in desperation,
drugs are offered to ease the pain,
leading to paths where there is no gain.
When the drug wears off the pain is still there,
leaving us drowning in horrendous despair,
it's not always wise to join the crowds,
as it takes us to darkness where evil abounds.
To be sucked into life doesn't mean that we're weak,
it's ignorance that we need to defeat,
knowledge and wisdom we need to seek,
finding the mysteries that are ours to keep.
We open all windows and doors we can find,
expose the depths where the knowledge does hide,
when we're busy exploring the truth,
darkness cannot steal away our youth.
