I'LL DO IT MY WAY......

THE FIRST STEPS

Very exciting times and the toddler will stumble forward with every step, be close by to catch if they go too fast or fall over their feet, we don't want them taking a nose dive which is totally unnecessary. We know it is such time so be ready for it with encouragement, patience, love and laughter. It is a joyful time for little one so enjoy it together. What are we planting now ??? Encouragment, enthusiasm, positivity and the likes....try and keep to the pattern, so, beware of negativity in between the positivity....i.e. good child - bad child. We never need to use punishment for a child when we do this right. Their journey is to them all new... they don't know good or bad....yes and no, good or naughty.....it's all first time basis.....instead of "no,no", we guide them to the right way, they need guidance, not approval. As babies and toddler operate mostly on feeling, emotion and vibes, they sense approval or disapproval, and they want our warmth and praise, even at this young age...when we shout " no, no" all the time and become angry and annoyed they sense it and cringe away, it scares them and they draw away. We don't want to instill insecurity into the child to later in life feel they need to impress or seek approval. They need to learn through guidance that first steps require assistance and then they can stand on their own....they find their own centre of balance. This seed we use throughout life....new ventures, new business, new hobbies, new sports, etc... So, please plant the right seeds...so the young one can learn early to find their centre and balance.....not approval or acceptance..... This will go a far way..... even at this young age the child will start showing signs of self assessment. I see the birth signs as stages of advancement and not dates of birth... Aries being the new born baby, touching, tasting, exploring the hands and feet and face, looking, focusing, moving into the Taurus stage.....from the crawling into the walking...here we notice a stubbornness appearing, as the toddler becomes very persistent and determined to go their own way...so it is a continuous case of being close to reguide, realign their direction.......this is a stage where they want to start doing everything on their own, in their own way....allow them as much individuality as possible, within the boundaries of safety.....remember... they are not us....they are special, individual little beings developing their own personalities....don't try and force them into your ways....providing they can't hurt themselves, let them be who they are....don't try and bend or break them, or try to squeeze them into some mold.....providing they are learning the necessary skills for their age, what does it matter which way they choose to do so ?  Allow them to retain their individuality.....they need to develop according to their own inbuilt talents, not our desires for their life.....but for them to fulfill their own skills and talents. .... ©
